Cube Labs, the venture builder in healthcare in Italy, convened the inaugural meeting of its international Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) in Milan, Italy on 24-25 March 2022.
The meeting brought together for the first time the whole panel of Cube Labs advisors – a distinguished group of experts in life science industry, business and innovation – to support Cube Labs in its path to technology development, on business strategy and the longer-term strategy of Cube Labs in Europe and beyond.
The meeting was chaired by Yossi Bornstein, the Founder and CEO of Shizim Group, a leading life science holding company based in Israel. The participants included Adam Broncel, MD, PhD, Founder of Poland Ventures and Co-founder of Biomed Venture Capital fund; Slawomir Chomik, MD, PhD, Managing Partner of Medical Research Center and MRC Ventures in Poland; Jeremy Curnock Cook, a veteran in life sciences industry and Chairman of International Bioscience Managers; Yaron Itzhari, high tech industry leader and former CEO of Medtronic in Israel; Adina Krausz, CEO of Innosource, advisor to startups, corporates and venture capitalists; Pierre Morgon, CEO of MRGN Advisors with many years of experience in global life science industry; Mikael Oerum, Founder of Ventac Partners with executive and strategic experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech and finance sectors; Banu Onaral, H. H. Sun Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering at Drexel University in Philadelphia, and leader in Global Innovation Partnerships; Ferran Prat, a business angel in healthcare with many years of experience in diagnostics and pharmaceuticals; Wee Meng Thoo, investor and fund manager with former leadership roles in global technology firms; and Fintan Walton, PhD, CEO and Founder of PharmaVentures, a leading advisory on partnering, M&A and strategic alliances.
Over the course of the two-day meeting, portfolio management strategy and business strategy were assessed within the context of Cube Labs’ differentiators and long-term objectives.
The SAB will reconvene in six months to evaluate the evolution and advancement of Cube Labs.
