The Italian-Israeli “5G Research and Innovation” workshop has been held yesterday at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in which Cube Labs took part and during which its Executive Operation Manager, Dr. Ignazio Cogotti, had a speech.
Technological innovations, changes and evolutions are continuously introducing new applications that greatly influence the way humans interact, make decisions and conduct their business activities: the focus of the workshop was around active projects and available infrastructures, research activities and funding opportunities for the start-ups. Traffic from wireless devices will account for more than 63 % of total IP traffic by 2021. These applications demand enhanced capacity, coverage, low latency and high quality of service (QoS) from wireless as well as optical access networks. Within the INCUBAte ANd DO Italy and Israel bilateral project (INCUBANDO, http://www.incubando.it/ ), a new technological Incubator has been established at the beginning of
2018 in L’Aquila city, Italy. This second workshop will bring together Scientists, Economists, Incubators and Institutions coming from both Countries. The focus mainly regards active projects and available infrastructures, research activities and funding opportunities for start-up companies.
